2009 PHOENIX TRIATHLON CLUB RACE SCHEDULE
TriSports.com Desert Classic Duathlon
February 22, 2009 - McDowell Regional Park
This race is produced by the Phoenix Triathlon Club and is the only western qualifying race for the 2009 World Duathlon Championships. The race features a 3.5-Mile Run, a 21-Mile Bike and a 2.7-Mile run in the beautiful desert north of Fountain Hills. There is also a Junior’s race for high school athletes as well as a kids race. If you are not going to race we need your help as a volunteer.

Tempe International Triathlon
Sunday May 17, 2009 - Tempe Town Lake
Sprint & Olympic
The Tempe International Triathlon is the unofficial kick off of the triathlon season in Phoenix and the PTC will be there in force. This race serves as is the Arizona Club Championships and will be a featured race for the PTC’s new New2Tri program for new club members competing in their first triathlon. Look for the PTC tent at the finish line to cheer on your fellow club members.

Deuces Wild Triathlon Festival
Saturday May 30 & Sunday 31, 2009 - Show Low, AZ
Olympic, Half Ironman & AquaBike on Saturday - XTERRA on Sunday
With a full weekend of the thing we love most, the Deuces Wild Triathlon Festival is the place to be at the end of May. There is camping right at Fool Hollow Lake and plenty of hotels in Show Low. The PTC will have group dinners on Friday and Saturday nights.

Mountain Man Triathlon
Sunday July 19, 2009 - Flagstaff, AZ
Sprint, Olympic & Half Ironman Distances
This is the 5th oldest triathlon West of the Mississippi River. It is a beautiful course, a great escape from the summer heat and only a couple hours drive from Phoenix. There are hotels in Flagstaff as well as camping close to the race venue. The PTC will have a group dinner on Saturday night before the race.
