PTC CLUB RACES 2008 Club Race Schedule Announced
The Phoenix Triathlon Club has announced the races that have been designated as official PTC club races for 2008. These races represent a combination of long course, short course, Xterra, duathlon, triathlon, in town and out of town and each of these races qualify for the PTC Podium Placement Program. In short there is something for everyone, with many of the races offering multiple distances and/or race formats. And the season winds up with the USAT Club National Championships at the Land Rover Pumpkinman Triathlon outside Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, October 18, 2008 where we will defend our 2006 Division IV National Championship 1st place finish. So, plan ahead, REGISTER EARLY (many of these races will sell out) and get ready to let the good times roll.
1) TriSports.com Desert Classic Duathon - Sunday February 24, 2008 Phoenix, AZ

This race is produced by the Phoenix Triathlon Club so if you don't race, we can use your help as a volunteer on Saturday 2/23 for course set-up and Sunday 2/24 at the race.

If you are not racing at Ironman Arizona, join us for the next best thing. The Phoenix Triathlon Club hosts a run aid station every year at Ironman Arizona and our aid station station is just about the next best thing to a Toga party. Fun music all day and night is just the beginning at the PTC Motivation Station on the marathon course. At the 2007 race we won the cleanest aid station award and we want to repeat in 08. You can volunteer at the Ironman Arizona web site and write in the notes section you want to volunteer at the Phoenix Triathlon Clubs run aid station.

There is something for everyone at this event which features an Xterra race as well as an International and sprint distance road race.
4) Deuces Wild Triathlon Festival - May 31 & June 1, 2008 Show Low, AZ

Get out of the heat and head for the fresh cool mountain air for a great weekend of triathlon. TriSports.com is one of our clubs main sponsors and they do a great job hosting this weekend long event in Show Low that features the largest raffle in triathlon. Take you pick, as this event features a 1/2 IM distance triathlon, an Olympic distance triathlon and for those fat tire folks there is an Xterra American points tour race. Go for the entire weekend as many club members will race one day and volunteer the next.
5) Nathan Tempe Triathlon - Sunday September 21, 2008 Tempe, AZ

The Nathan Tempe Triathlon features a sprint and Olympic distance at Tempe Town Lake in Tempe, AZ. This race is in our own backyard and our goal in 2008 is to overwhelm this event with our red, black and white club colors.

It's Vegas Baby, and we are going back to defend our 2006 National Championship title!
